Registration open for 23 June German language CoderDojo @ Thomson Reuters

We are happy to announce that on the 23rd of June we will hold a German language CoderDojo, sponsored and hosted by Thomson Reuters.

This will be a parent and child Dojo for kids from second to sixth grade.

We will have 3 morning and 3 afternoon sessions. These sessions will be:

  • Robotics I (second and third grade) – Build basic robots and learn to code with Lego WeDo 2.0
  • Robotics II (third grade kids who have done Robotics I last year) – Build a Thirsty Plant Kit (a sensor that will tell you when a pot plant needs to be watered). Then we will build advanced Lego WeDo robots designed by Yoshihito Isogawa.
  • Making music with Sonic Pi (fourth to sixth grade) – Using a programming language called Sonic Pi, you will make your own music by programming different instruments and playing with cool music effects.

As Thomson Reuters is committed to supporting women in technology, half of the spaces at the Dojo will be reserved for girls.
