We are excited to announce that we are planning 3 CoderDojo events for this year:
21 April CoderDojo in partnership with ISZL
On Saturday 21 April we will hold a CoderDojo at the Thomson Reuters offices in Baar. This dojo is in partnership with the International School of Zug and Luzern and is targeted at students at this school.
We will do the following activities:
- Robotics I: Using Lego WeDo, the kids will build simple robots and learn to program their motors and sensors.
- Robotics II: Kids who did Robotics I last year will build a Thirsty Plant Kit and make and program advanced LEGO WeDo robots designed by Yoshihito Isogawa.
- Making Music with Sonic Pi: Older kids will learn to make music by writing code.
23 June CoderDojo in German (and English)
Later in the year on the 23rd of June we will hold the same dojo as above, this time mainly targeting kids from local schools in the area. This event will be in German, but all our mentors are also fluent in English.
The event will again be held at the Thomson Reuters offices in Baar, offering the same activities as above.
Event 3 Later in the year…
We are working with a number of companies in the area to host a third event in 2018. This time we hope to hold the event at the offices of another company and theme the event around what that company does.
