{"id":5936,"date":"2022-11-15T20:19:04","date_gmt":"2022-11-15T20:19:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swisscoderdojo.org\/?p=5936"},"modified":"2022-11-15T20:28:43","modified_gmt":"2022-11-15T20:28:43","slug":"coderdojo-swiss-national-future-day-zukunftstag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swisscoderdojo.org\/de\/coderdojo-swiss-national-future-day-zukunftstag","title":{"rendered":"CoderDojo @ Swiss National Future Day &#8211; Zukunftstag"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last week on Thursday, November 10,&nbsp;CoderDojo collaborated with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com\/en.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\">Thomson Reuters<\/a>&nbsp;in Zug and hosted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalerzukunftstag.ch\/informationen-fuer-eltern\/englisch\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nationalerzukunftstag.ch\/informationen-fuer-eltern\/englisch\">Swiss National Future day<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As most of the followers of CoderDojo know, Swiss National Future Day, also known as Zukunftstag in German-speaking Switzerland, is a one-day annual event with the aim to promote career planning for schoolchildren in the 5th, 6th or 7th grade (11-14 years of age). Like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/thomson-reuters\/\"><\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com\/en.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\">Thomson Reuters<\/a>, many other companies across Switzerland open their doors to boys and girls and host special programs. Through those programs, the companies can provide a new perspective and unlock an array of future possibilities for children attending it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year attendees were the children of&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com\/en.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thomson Reuters<\/a>&nbsp;employees only; next year we are also looking into expanding the program to external attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first part of the day was dedicated to&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonreuters.com\/en.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thomson Reuters<\/a>&nbsp;related topics. The event opened with an introduction to Thomson Reuters, followed by presentations from several employees and parents about their jobs. The children asked many questions and there was a lively discussion between them and the grownups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The afternoon part of the program is where there was (finally) some time for coding fun and CoderDojo coding exercises.
